In order to be accepted onto an OM short term outreach you must...
Know the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour
Have a desire to serve Him and reach people with the Gospel
Have the support of your home church
Raise the necessary finance
Complete the application process including having suitable references (Make sure you fill in the application form and send it in well before the deadline for the option)
Have completed an OM UK CRB check
(Most teams have18 as a minimum age - with no upper age limit for those in good health)
After being accepted, there is time for writing your prayer letter, raising financial and prayer support, finishing the last bits of paper work, arranging travel and passport details etc.
Here are some ideas on how to raise the money you need
Let your church and others know your plans in plenty of time
Find out as much about the country of your outreach
Start fundraising early – do car boot sales, car washes, sponsored events – and ask others to get involved also
What does the cost cover?
£35 is required when you send in your completed application form

Travel insurance (including medical and cancellation) Travel insurance is important and a requirement to acceptance for all outreaches outside the UK.
Unless you’ve recently been with us before you will also need to complete a Criminal Records check as part of our safeguarding policy which costs an additional £15
How can I pay? You can pay in full or instalments by either cash, cheque, debit or credit cards or online via our website. Full costs need to be paid prior to travelling.
