New OM Website

OM International

The new, updated OM international web site, www.om.org, went live on Wednesday, 10 March. A team of OM web folks, led by Stephen Brandon, OM's international web master, worked from two hemispheres, three continents and four time zones - to update and streamline the international web site.

Features of the new web site include: interactive world map of where we work; opportunities to serve for professionals; improvements to the "Join Us" pages for short- and long-term service opportunities, and training. OM has always been known as a mission for training and experiencing missions before making long-term commitments, but we hadn’t presented these training opportunities on the web site until now (http://www.om.org/en/training)

Also included on the new web site is OM’s newest key focus area (KFA), Muslim Peoples, which focuses on OM’s ministry amongst Muslims around the world. In June 2009, OM's international executive committee (IEC) decided to add a 10th KFA to feature OM's Muslim ministries. Previously, Muslim ministry had been included under the World Faiths KFA, but that KFA will now cover OM's ministries amongst Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and others.

The web team continues to work on providing additional information and updates to the web site, so check it out often. Also pray that the new web site will draw many from around the world to pray, give and go.

NUEVO SITIO WEB – OM Internacional
El nuevo y actualizado sitio Web de OM Internacional, www.om.org, está en línea desde el 10 de Marzo. Un equipo de Cyber muchachos de OM, liderados por Stephen Brandon, Web Master Internacional de OM, trabajó desde los dos hemisferios, en tres países y cuatro zonas horarias para actualizar y mejorar el sitio Web internacional.

Esta nueva versión presenta un mapa mundial interactivo mostrando dónde trabajamos, oportunidades de servir como profesionales, mejoras en las páginas de “Join Us” [Únete a Nosotros], tanto para oportunidades de corto como de largo plazo, y de entrenamiento. OM ha sido reconocida siempre como una misión de entrenamiento y de experiencias misioneras cortas como paso previo a un compromiso a largo plazo, pero no hemos presentado estas oportunidades de entrenamiento en nuestro sitio Web hasta ahora (http://www.om.org/en/training)
