Come join a church planting team committed to holistic development among the least-reached in Central Asia.
We are looking for women and men to teach basic health lessons in our rural communities that are ripe with animistic and folk Islamic health beliefs.  More generally, locals lack understanding of how our body and health issues work.

We teach on topics such as pregnancy and child health, infectious diseases like hepatitis, HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, diabetes and blood pressure, depending on the needs of the local community.

Ideally you will be a healthcare professional such as a nurse, midwife, family doctor, HIV trainer.

We are looking for people who enjoy facilitating participatory lessons with rural communities, teaching basic health and hygiene and can use these opportunities to build lasting relationships within the village community. We also train village nurses as we pass on these lessons so they can support their communities better in the future.

Start date: January or August 2020
Commitment length: as long as possible

Most people joining OM raise financial support towards the cost of their salaries/expenses.  This is usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters.  Training is provided to help with this.  More details can be found in the application pack for this role.
