I have the amazing opportunity be part of a team from the UK trekking up into the Himalayas to a peak at a height of 4997m. I’m hoping my local Fife training/Pentland hill jaunts will be enough to prepare me for walking at high altitude! I am assured that practicing nose breathing contributes to my preparation! No matter the extent or type of preparation, I recognise it will be a big challenge to me personally.

Why are we doing this trek? The prevalence of AIDS/HIV in Nepal is twice as high as the UK and many people there have found it hard to know how to live with the disease. OM's AIDS Link programme gives real hope to those who are struggling with the disease and provides practical and spiritual support as well as training and raising awareness in the community.

My hope is that the sponsorship I can raise will contribute to making a real difference to individual’s lives; so those affected will not feel forgotten or marginalised but instead supported and empowered.

Please give generously to support this valuable project.
