As part of Jayne's 60th and Fiona's 30th birthday's, we decided to take on the challenge (especially for Jayne) of the Borders Abbeys Way, Scotland, a 103 kilometre circular walk following a pilgrim route which takes in the four Border Abbeys . After Jayne dislocating and fracturing her shoulder at start of lockdown this has been more of challenge than it might otherwise have been!

A bit of training has been required, but whether enough has been done, time will tell!

This our effort to help the amazing work of OM in the UK and globally, through OMNIvision.

We plan to undertake this around end Aug/beginning September depending on Fiona's shifts. If you would like to join us get in touch!

Thank you so much for your support, it is a great encouragement.

*update 30 Aug* First section Kelso to Jedburgh completed, 21k and Jayne survived!

* 5th Sept - Jedburgh to Hawick , 21k tougher than the first sections as more uphill and more difficult terrain.
* 6th Sept - Hawick to Ashkirk - 10K -
* 12th Sept - was going to be Ashkirk to a point between Selkirk and Melrose, but decided to keep going to Abbotsford House, so 25k
* 13th Sept - Abbotsford to Dryburgh, 12k - We're almost there!!

*21st Sept - Final section Dryburgh Abbey back to Kelso. - Lovely day, warm and sunny.
We made it! Been so blessed with the weather and the beautiful and peaceful
countryside. Been tough at times too though.

It's not too late to donate! Can you help us reach our target? Thank you Jayne Henderson
