Our St. Patrick's Day Challenge is all about sharing the Gospel with people who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus, with confidence that the Gospel will make an impact on their lives. 

We want to use the context of St. Patrick's Day to remind the people in Ireland of the message that St. Patrick brought to the country long ago and its relevance today. There will be an emphasis on personal evangelism and church partnership during this outreach.

Ministry Details

The programme begins with training and orientation at OM Ireland's headquarters. Participants then head out in teams to share the gospel through St. Patrick's Day activities in partnership with local churches across Ireland.

Participant Profile

People who are passionate about Jesus and want to share His Good News with others. Participants need to be flexible, adaptable and teachable.

Accommodation

Initial accommodation will be at Lacken House,  OM Ireland's headquarters. We provide beds/mattresses for all during this time but all participants should bring a sleeping bag and pillow, if desired. During the outreach accommodation can vary, depending on location. If you have any particular needs or requirements for alternate provision, please contact us.

Food

All meals are provided during the outreach. If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact us.

Travel

Please fly into Dublin airport (DUB) in the morning (before 12pm) of Wednesday, 13 March.

Please book your departure flight for the late morning (after 12pm) of Wednesday, 20 March.

We may be able to provide transport from the Airport to Lacken House (2 hours away). If not, we will provide information on how to get a bus from the Airport. 

Please do not book any flights unless you have received an acceptance email from the Short Term Opportunities team.

Health

Participants should be in good health. 

Visa

British citizens do not require a visa.

Notes 

Price excludes flights and insurance and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Applicants must be 18 or over.

As part of our safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £15.
