We focus on growing you in your journey as a disciple through four key areas: cross-cultural community life and adventure, one-on-one mentoring and discipleship, spiritual growth and leadership development, and practical experience of missions and evangelism. We aim to prepare you, equip you and expand your world view as you discover all that God has prepared in advance for you to do!

Do you hunger for more of God and desire to be used and grow in your giftings, for His glory? At REACH you will experience how God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things as you step out in faith and grow in your relationship with the Lord and experience being His hands and feet to the nations. This specific REACH program is a partnership between Moldova and Romania with training time spent in both countries. All instruction will be taught in English.

Ministry Details

• Spiritual Growth & Leadership: Grow in your relationship with God as you study, discuss and explore Biblical truths. Subjects studied will include: Identity in Christ, Nature and Character of God, Biblical Basis of Missions, Communicating your Faith and many more!
  
  
• Mentoring & Discipleship: Experience how God calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things for His Kingdom. As part of an international team you will practice new languages, share your life and faith with others, learn the importance of discipleship and help others in their walk with Jesus.
  
  
• Mission & Evangelism: Put into practice the cutting edge, innovative methods of sharing your faith through sports, puppets, drama, testimony, literature and practical service.
  
  
• Cross-Cultural Adventure: Spend weeks in wild, challenging conditions; build rafts, sail down rivers to unreached villages, travel by bus, train, trek in the mountains, ski / snowboard – and demonstrate Christ’s love wherever you go.

Participant Profile

This program is directed towards English speakers from anywhere in the world. All instruction will be taught in English.

You should be:

• A born-again Christian, having a relationship with the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour.
• Passionate for the Kingdom of God.
• You need to have a desire to share, learn and grow as a person in community with others and in relationship with Jesus.
• Be in good general physical health, in order to partake in all elements of the training.
• No experience needed as full training will be given.

Accommodation

During study weeks at the OM Centres in Chisinau, Moldova and Ghimbav, Romania. During outreaches in villages with local families and churches, amongst some of the least reached people groups.

Food

Nourishing meals are planned by our OM base teams. Be prepared to also grow in teamwork as you prepare ingredients, cook and wash plates for the rest of your REACH group, on occasions. 

Travel

Participants should plan to arrive on Monday 30th January 2023 and plan to fly out on 1st July 2023. Participants must arrange their own travel to and from Chisinau, Moldova. The airport code for Chisinau is: KIV. Participants will be picked up at the airport, train station or bus station. During the program, participants will travel between Moldova and Romania – the REACH staff will make provisions for this. 

Health

Participants must be generally in good health. Please advise us of any medical issues we should be aware of and/or Dietary restrictions. 

Visa

British citizens do not require a visa to enter Moldova or Romania for less than 90 days.

The price excludes OM's GO Conference online in January 2023 which is a time of training and orientation.

It is highly recommended you attend OMUK’s Getting into Gear weekend (GiG) held in the May or October before you go which is a time of training and preparation. This is an additional cost of £75. Please enquire for details.

Applicants must be 18 or over. This placement is tailored towards those aged 18-35.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £20.
