OM offers many opportunities to bring hope to children at risk, refugees and garbage collectors in North Africa. There are several outreaches below which, upon request, can potentially be extended and customised for up to 2 months. Restoring Hope

Ministering to poor refugee children and providing quality education.
Together, you will use creativity to share the Good News and restore hope among children at risk. The team members will work with orphans and refugee children and may also have the opportunity to be involved in outreach with disabled children. Ministry can include arts, music, English classes, crafts, sports and other creative ways to express God's love.
This option is for believers who would like to express their love to God through actions, encouragement and prayer.

Refugee Ministry

A month-long programme ministering to the Nuba refugee children, their families and the neediest people of the hosting communities.

An interactive ministry to restore hope among the Nuba Refugees and poor garbage collectors while engaging in worshipping His Majesty. 

The team members will work with the educational Centre of Hope by teaching, using arts, handicrafts, sports and other creative ways to express God's love. We will also assist families through aid, prayer and encouragement.

This option is for doctors, nurses, journalists, business people, and anyone who is a follower of Jesus.

Love in Action

The love and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ will be demonstrated through prayers, encouragement, medical aid and relief actions to Nuba Sudanese Refugees. By being present in communities and reaching the refugees we will bring God’s love, hope, justice and beauty. You will be ministering to the Sudanese Nuba refugees, as well as the poorest members of the host communities. (Garbage Village People).

For this option, you need to be passionate about telling the story of the Lord and willing to immerse yourself into another culture.

Educational Ministry for Women and Children

This is an opportunity to reach out to poor refugee children and women in need, sharing the story of the Lord Jesus in creative ways using English classes and crafts.
The team will teach English to refugee women and children and present them with God’s love, hope and justice.

Restoring Hope - Christmas Outreach

Bringing the Good News to refugee families and their children who have been driven from their country by war through a ministry of love, encouragement and prayer. After performing a creative Christmas programme, the team will minister to orphans and disabled children by teaching, distributing relief and Christmas gifts, praying for their needs and using arts/sports to express God's love in action.

This option is for believers who would like to express their love to God through actions, encouragement and prayer.

For all of the above outreaches, the following information is the same:

Accommodation

Fully equipped guest house. For the Love in Action option, you may be in a hotel. All bedding and linens are provided. There are common areas for groups to meet to enjoy devotions and time together. WiFi available. Housing is located in a very nice area near the airport, and public transportation is nearby.

Food

All meals are included, ranging from international to typical local Arab meals. There are options for individuals with specific tastes. If you have any allergies or specific dietary needs, please let us know in advance.

Travel

Participants needs to fly to the international airport in the capital.

Please note: Our local teams are aware and constantly reviewing the security situation.The government of Egypt places the highest priority on the safety of tourists. They have enhanced security measures in place at all the sites, and they continue to take every possible measure to ensure that no harm comes to anyone visiting Egypt.

Health

Good health. Able to walk reasonable distances and perform physical work. 

Visa

You should be able to obtain a visa at the airport, but it is recommended to apply for this before you travel.

Notes

Individuals applying must be 18 or over.  Under 18s are welcome to apply for all of the above outreaches except Empowering Women & Children, but must have parental consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children under 13 will be included on their parent’s application form.  Price excludes flights, insurance and any possible vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

As part of our safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate which will cost an additional £20. 

Upon request, most of these outreaches can be extended and customised up to two months.
