Through running the children's programme at a local festival, this team will be a support to the existing OM workers who regularly engage the community in children's ministry and evangelism. The hope is that through this outreach seeds can be sown in young hearts, and whole families can be impacted.
Creativity, passion, engagement with children and endurance will be key features of your time in Portugal! Come support local OM ministry workers in reaching out to children during the kids program at an annual food festival. Prop and set design, puppet ministry, group games, songs and so much more - all with a deeper message of Bible principles and morals

The first days will be focused on preparation, set up and design. The second portion will be spent working at the festival and, with the team, leading the children's care section. Expect long hours and lots of fun!

Kids in Portugal speak Portuguese! Some may have basic English skills, but expect there to be a language barrier and to not always have a translator right there. Communicating through body language and smiles will be a big help. Also, Portugal is a night time culture. Expect to have late nights during the time when the festival is running.
