Ministry Details

Come ready for anything! It starts with an induction into life in the UK and training sessions on public speaking and how to present creatively, using multimedia presentations where appropriate. You'll share in church services, conferences, and University meetings, and run book tables. You will be expected to take an active part in OM UK team life at The Quinta. Team participation could include book-keeping, driving, team leading and administration. Working hours will be flexible. We will aim to give you 2 days off per week, but sometimes it may be 1.5 or 1 day. The three months will wrap up with team debrief and reflection back at The Quinta.

Participant Profile

You've been with OM for at least 6 months and you're a team-player! You have a passion for God and Global mission, and to share about opportunities to be involved in what God is doing around the world through OM. You want to encourage believers to step out, whether for the very first time or taking a second or third step. You have a good command of the English language.

You will be based at OM Quinta in a guest flat – in Shropshire but on the Welsh border – beautiful countryside, great team and sometimes some sheep around too! There is easy access to road and rail links. There will be a lot of travelling around the UK involved. When travelling you'll most likely be staying in people's homes.

While at the Quinta food is provided for you to make your own meals. When travelling there is an allowance for necessary meals and snacks.

If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.

The nearest train stations are Chirk or Gobowen and the nearest bus stations are Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Generally good health.

Applicants must be 18 or over.

Price excludes travel to and from the outreach.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate.  This may cost an additional £20.

You will be here on a voluntary basis - food and accommodation and UK travel during the 3 months is provided. Please bring spending money for extras.
