This is an opportunity to partner with a Church in Peterborough reaching out to their community through both ministry in the Church and on the streets.

We want to prepare and encourage believers to work together and have the motivation to share the gospel and talk to people about Jesus. We also want to see all the participants of the events being inspired and experiencing the presence of God.

You will be equipped in reaching out on the streets and sharing your faith in Jesus and will have opportunities to talk to people.

Ministry Details

St Paul's Church is situated in the New England, just over a mile from the city centre of the Cathedral city of Peterborough. It is part of the Christian denomination known as The Church of England and is within the Diocese of Peterborough. The Parish comprise many houses built 100 years ago, mainly terraced, semi-detached and a few detached. Quite a lot of properties have been made into corner shops. It is very multi-cultural and in the last few years around the Triangle area there has sprung up several small supermarkets, restaurants, shops, and business running by different ethics groups. It is also diverse in nationalities and language. In the parish, we also have a large J.W. Kingdom Hall, an Infant/Junior School of 800+ children, a very large Medical Centre, an amateur Football Club and several retail parks.

OM will partner with the Church reaching out to the community and sharing the gospel with people. Come and share your gifts and vision with a Christian community and share the love of Jesus in Peterborough together. 

Participant Profile

People who love Jesus and want to share the Gospel with other faiths or cultures.

People who feel confident in holding a conversation with people and praying for others in English. Mission experience would be very helpful. If you have a specific gifting such as music, dance, art, or sports please let us know when you apply. It would also be helpful if you know some other languages especially Polish, Lithuanian, Romanian, or Portuguese.


Accommodation will be arranged. You may be asked to share a room with people of the same sex. You may also be required to bring you own sleeping bags and towels. 

Married couples are welcome at this option, but might have separate rooms or even accommodation. 


Meals will be provided. We need to know in advance of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, food allergies, etc) 


You need to arrange your travel to Peterborough. You will be picked up from the train or the coach/bus station which is only a 5 minute car journey from St Paul’s Church. 


You should be in average good health and be capable of working outdoors, standing for a reasonable time, and walking between houses. 


Individuals applying must be 18 or over.
