We’re David and Angela McClatchey, a couple called to share the love of Jesus with Japan—one of the least-churched nations in the world. We met at Moorlands College in 2010, where our shared passion for cross-cultural mission took root. Now, after years of preparation and ministry, we’re ready to spend decades in Japan, helping reach the unreached with the good news of Christ.

Our Journey

David studied theology at Moorlands College, graduating in 2013 with a focus on cross-cultural evangelism and church planting. His call to overseas mission came in 2008, and since then, he’s served in several Far East nations, sharing the gospel. Alongside his ministry, David’s a skilled graphic designer with experience in publishing and sign-making.

Angela, who also graduated from Moorlands in 2013, focused on children and family ministry. She’s since trained at All Nations Christian College to work cross-culturally and brings her gifts as a primary school teacher, certified to teach English as a foreign language. skills which will open doors for the gospel.

Together, we worship at St Botolph’s Church in Barton Seagrave and Open Door Church in Kettering, where our faith has been shaped and our vision sharpened.

Our Vision: Jesus Loves Japan

"Japan is home to one of the world’s least-reached people groups—less than 0.5% know Jesus. We believe God has called us to change that. With David’s evangelism and design skills and Angela’s teaching and family focus, we’re ready to plant seeds of faith, build relationships, and shine Christ’s light across this beautiful nation. We’re in it for the long haul—decades of serving, loving, and sharing the hope of salvation in Jesus' precious name.

I have placed You as a light for the Gentiles, That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.
Isaiah 42:6 / Acts 13:47
