Over the past month we have seen tropical storms wreak havoc and destruction in the Caribbean and South-East Asia on an unprecedented scale within recent memory.
In Bangladesh, recent flooding has been the worst in this hard-hit nation for 200 years, with approximately 20 million people affected and over 100,000 people losing their homes. In the Caribbean, reports are indicating that 75% of homes are uninhabitable, power is down and access to food and clean water is limited.
With OM teams and partners in both regions, we are well positioned to bring immediate, emergency relief to families and support them in rebuilding homes and livelihoods.
Please partner with us in this urgent task and bring the Good News of God's mercy, compassion and restoration to those who are suffering and have lost so much.
In the Caribbean, working with the local church and supported by Logos Hope, and other partners, we are providing food, clean water, temporary shelters and hygiene supplies in Dominica, Barbuda and several of the southern family islands of the Bahamas.
In Bangladesh, we are distributing relief packs with food, medicines and mosquito nets to 1500 families and helping with the reconstruction of 200 homes in the Districts of Bogra, Sirajganj and Rangpur.
Your gift to this Emergency Mercy Appeal will quite literally help us save lives.
Please continue to pray with us, and thank you for your support.
