OM's Supporter Promise Thanks to your support and generosity, OM in the UK continues in the mission to which we have been called: - to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached. We are a global community of Jesus followers united to share the love of Jesus with those that don’t know it. As passionate Christians, OM wants to demonstrate integrity and honour God in all that we do. We have committed to our own Supporter Promise as a basis for striving to deliver the highest standards of service to all our supporters. We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to the standards of the Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice. We have reflected the commitments of the Fundraising Regulator’s Fundraising Promise in our own Supporter Promise. You are a vital part of the OM team. Thank you for your trust in us. When you support us, this is our promise to you: 1) We will commit to high standards We will abide by the Fundraising Code of Practice and charity law. As a mission organisation inspired by our Christian faith, we will act with integrity and try to be God-honouring in all that we do, striving to deliver the highest standards of supporter service. 2) Clear, honest and open We will do what we say we’re going to do with your donations. In the dynamic world of international mission work, sometimes projects change. If you’ve given to a specific project and the money is no longer needed there, we will update you. We will keep you informed about OM in the UK’s work and what we are achieving with the money you’ve given to us. We will be open and honest about our fundraising costs. We are committed to keeping our fundraising costs as low as we can. Transformational giving is an important part of our engagement activity. We will use public information to identify individuals who we believe may have the interest and capacity to make a gift of this nature. You can choose to opt out of these processes by calling us on 01691 773388. 3) Respectful Our work is only possible because of the support of those who share our passion to share the transforming love of Jesus where he is least known. We never forget that we are stewards of your generosity and trust in us. Your personal data is something you have entrusted us with. So, we will look after your data securely. We will never sell your data to third parties. We will respect your wishes on how you prefer to be contacted. We will work with the Telephone, Mail and Fundraising Preference Services to ensure that those who choose not to receive specific types of communications won’t have to. We will never put anyone under pressure to make a gift. We believe that our supporters should have time to make their minds up so that the giver can delight in the giving, mirroring Paul’s advice in 2 Corinthians 9. We recognise that some supporters may be in vulnerable circumstances for a whole variety of reasons ranging from mental health, through to dementia or bereavement. Our office staff are being trained to spot signs of potential vulnerability and how to respond appropriately. We have summarised the key points of our Privacy Policy at the bottom of this Supporter Promise. The full version can be read on our website 4) Accountable and Responsible We will steward our resources responsibly.
