“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

MATTHEW 28:19

Esther*, a young 26-year-old woman from South East Asia, is helping – simply but powerfully – transform lives and communities through discipleship.

“Discipleship training in my nation is needed,” Esther explains. “Following Jesus can often lead to persecution and discrimination; this is what happened to my family when I was growing up.”

Esther experienced first-hand the impact of discipleship in deepening her understanding of God and transforming her faith from being timid to unashamedly bold. “When I read the Bible, I see Jesus came to this earth to die for me. I value His death and resurrection above all things,” she shares. “In humility He served and discipled others. If He did this, then so will I.”

Having seen the desperate need for the gospel in her home country, Esther now invests in other Jesus followers, helping build a natural network of bold disciple- makers.

“I share with home groups, and in different churches, encouraging young people to have a heart to serve and share God,” she explains. “We are seeing people who had no personal faith become bold for Jesus.”
