Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we were able to provide food packages, new mattresses and blankets to North African refugee families in right in time for Christmas.

Our committed OM workers support a women’s group who meet at the local school at the end of the school day. The mothers meet to learn how to read and write, using the Bible as a textbook. Some have already received Jesus as their Saviour.

For those in need, we provided a new mattress and a blanket for the family. And we prepared care packages including rice, milk, sugar, oil, eggs and more, for each woman to take home to her family. This is a very much needed gift as many struggle to make ends meet every month and live day by day, hand to mouth. Each package can support a family for up to a month or more.

After the meeting, a group of OM workers visit homes to deliver the food, blankets and mattresses to those not able to come to the school themselves. Amira, a 65-year old widow, lights up as she receives her food package and offers a word of encouragement and prayer:

“I prayed to Jesus that he would send someone to provide food for us this month. Now I know He has not forgotten me!”

Since 1957, OM workers have distributed tens of millions of portions of scripture, sailed the world through our ships ministry, have provided aid to millions, and trained and equipped tens of thousands to share the Gospel.
