REACH in Taiwan exists to train disciples for a missional lifestyle and to show the nations the heart of Asia. REACH will invest in you through high quality practical training and mentoring so that you can engage in missions in a culturally sensitive manner, you will meet the challenges of discipleship, and join in God’s mission to reach the unreached, and be a part of mobilising the Asian world into missions. Participant Profile Participants should: • be at least 18 years old• have a basic level of spoken English (will be assessed)• have a desire and openness to allow God to work in your life• have a desire to learn and grow as a person• have a willingness to live and function as part of a cross-cultural team• have an openness to people of other faiths and cultures Accommodation Accommodation is in single-sex rooms, and during outreaches may be on church floors or in tents. You will need to be flexible, couples accommodation can be arranged. Food We need to know in advance of any special dietary needs (vegetarian, dairy-free, food allergies, etc.) Travel Each participant is responsible to cover the cost of traveling to Taiwan, after your application is accepted, more information will be given. Health Participants should be in average good health and able to walk a reasonable distance without difficulty. If you think this requirement rules you out, talk to us and we will see what adjustments we may be able to make for you. We highly recommend you join OM in the UK’s Getting into Gear weekend (GiG) which you can attend either 26-28 April 2024 or a weekend in October (dates tbc). This is a weekend of training and orientation which will be conducted in Shropshire and will cost an additional £75. As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £15.
