What’s different about OM Outreaches?

For over 50 years OM has been at the forefront of short term mission programmes, allowing people of all ages and backgrounds to share God’s love.  Short term mission provides an opportunity for Christians of all ages to share with those who don’t know Jesus, all over the world, by telling them what He means to you or by showing His love through practical help.

We want to see short term trips have a long term impact on you and the people you go to.

We have opportunities throughout the year for individuals and groups to join with local OM teams and share in making the message of the love of Christ known by word or action. You’ll be part of an international team led by our long term workers in the country. It is a unique opportunity to enjoy fellowship with Christians from around the world, as a fresh expression of the global dimension of the Church.

What people are saying about their Short-term experience with OM

  • “For me it was all about finding the Kingdom of God in the most unexpected places, like in the middle of a slum where disease is rife and a mother has just lost her little girl. The Kingdom was feeding a banana to a little girl who could barely take a breath between bites as she was so hungry... The kingdom is sprouting up and flourishing even in the most difficult circumstances, like the mustard seed that grew into a great tree."
    Rachel OCZ India, 2013
  • "We were all so grateful to God for one another, for bringing us together, for the gifts we had and used for God, for the church which accommodated us, and the Brazilian people for their welcome. We discussed what we had been doing, and saw this as “seed sowing”. We acknowledged that friendship evangelism is important too. Indeed, group members practice this in places that include England, Brazil, Kenya and Iran."
    Reverend Jim Pye Brazil 2014
  • "The leaders were outstanding in all ways and the best I have worked with; I particularly appreciated that they encouraged me to step out of what was comfortable, but at the same time they let people in the team be themselves and there was no pressure."
Heather Bulgaria Sports & English Camp, 2014
