There are 1.8 billion Muslims in the world, and many have never heard about the goodness of God’s love. Since 1992, during the month of Ramadan, Jesus followers around the world have been praying for our Muslim friends.

The 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World, is an international movement that began in 1993. It calls the church to make a deliberate but respectful effort to learn about, pray for and reach out to our world’s Muslim neighbours. It coincides annually with the important Islamic month of religious observation — Ramadan, a time of the year when Muslims are much more deeply aware of spiritual matters.

Start praying for the Muslim world

• Pray for a global increase of believers from a Muslim background following Jesus and taking more leadership in global Christianity.
• Pray for those suffering under increased persecution.
• Ask the God of Peace for continued movements towards reconciliation among Muslims and Christians.
• Pray for Christians from all nations to share their faith locally and globally with Muslims.
