Albania: Loving Kids with Additional Needs Come and Live Out Love with children with additional needs in a country which is not your own! OM Albania is in need of a physiotherapist and for people that have a heart for these children. Start Date: January or AugustCommitment Length: 1-2 years (Full Time) In Durres, OM Albania is working with one of the state-run centres for children with disabilities where members of the church regularly take the children out of the centre on walks. This not only changes up the routine for the children who have little stimulation, but it also fights against the cultural stigma of Albania, that disabled children should be kept a secret. OM Albania regularly holds meetings with these children and their families at a local church, to teach them about Jesus. This ministry also allows families to support and encourage each other, as they often struggle with poverty and discrimination. The team help the children with counting and writing and also supports the siblings with their homework. Often, siblings feel left out as they don't get the same attention. OM Albania provides them with monthly meetings so that they can go out and have fun. You will need: A willingness to learn Albanian Flexibility Humility and patience A love for people A heart for children Most people joining OM raise financial support towards the cost of their salaries/expenses.
