We want to see people grow in their relationship with God and step out to have an impact in Europe. This Christian Interrailing Mission Adventure combines the thrill of travel with the opportunity to spread love, compassion, and the message of Jesus -Christ across diverse cultures. Dates Thursday, 15 August - Friday 30 August 2024 Apply by Monday 15 July 2024 Cost £200 for 2 weeks (excludes interrail pass, accommodation and meals while interrailing, insurance, vaccinations and DBS if required) Ages 50+ (this outreach is aimed at those aged 50 -75) Suitable for Details of Ministry Over the course of 2 weeks, participants will travel through various European countries. There they will be engaging in a range of activities aimed at serving local communities and sharing the gospel with people from different cultures and backgrounds. Destinations: Countries include: Belgium, Germany, Austria, overnight stays in Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. Key Ministry Activities: 1.Serve with OM teams in destination countries: Engage in meaningful service activities such as refugee ministry, House visits (with or without food parcels). Physical work (cleaning houses, renovations, gardening work). Bible Study groups and Church attendance as requested by OM team in destination countries. This is an opportunity to demonstrate Christ's love through actions. 2. Evangelism: Share your faith through respectful conversations, prayer walks, or organised outreach events. Be sensitive to cultural differences and always prioritise love and understanding. 3. Fellowship and Reflection: Spend time bonding with fellow participants and local believers through bible study sessions, worship sessions, and prayer meetings. Reflect on your experiences, challenges, and spiritual growth throughout the journey. Participant Profile Participants must be passionate about sharing their faith, excited about meeting new people and keen to travel! Race Across Europe is aimed at those aged 50 -75 years old. Accommodation Participants will stay in a combination of Airbnb and OM bases throughout the journey, fostering a sense of community and hospitality. Food You will be expected to cook together as a group, you will also be fed by those hosting you and you will need to source your own food too. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary needs (vegetarian, food allergies, dairy-free, gluten free, etc.). Travel You'll need to travel to and from an OM UK base on the arrival and departure dates above. The closest train station to the OM UK base at Quinta is Chirk station. The closest airports to the OM UK base at Quinta are Liverpool Airport, Manchester Airport or Birmingham international Airport. The OM UK base at Quinta is easily accessible from all 3 airports by train. We are happy to offer pick up from Chirk station. Travel between destinations will be primarily by train using Interrail passes allowing scenic views and access to major cities in Europe. OM vehicles or public transport will be used while doing ministry in destination countries. Health You should be in good health, mobile, able to walk reasonable distances and get on and off train steps without difficulty. Accommodation might not be on the ground floor. If you have any underlying health conditions that could occur while on this outreach it needs to be disclosed during the application process. Notes This outreach is aimed towards those aged 50- 75. You will need to obtain adequate travel and medical insurance for the duration of the opportunity and all travel which includes repatriation in case of an emergency.
