Come and join us for a Medical outreach with an evangelistic programme in Bulgarian villages among people from a Muslim background.

During this week we will run daily outreaches among Muslim-minority Turkish speakers in North East Bulgaria. A group of doctors will attend to people’s physical needs, while non-medical team members will engage people with the gospel. Special activities with kids will also take place. The locations are chosen in the context of OM’s longer-term vision to see new groups of believers in this region. Local OM workers live in this region and will ensure follow-up. The economic situation of these villages is very poor.

Participant Profile

We are looking for people with a medical background but those without one are still welcome to apply and can help with evangelistic activities and children's ministry in the villages.

Accommodation

Accommodation in the OM base in Rusokastro will be provided. This may include accommodation in shared rooms.

Food

Local food will be provided by local team members. Dietary requirements need to be communicated before the outreach. 

Travel

You will need to book your flights to and from Burgas Airport (the team are still looking into whether they can also organise an airport transfer from Sofia Airport to the outreach location). Please make sure you arrive before 16:00. Local transport during the outreach will be organised. Please do not book travel unless you have received an acceptance email.

Health

You should have general good health. 

Visa

British citizens can visit Bulgaria for up to 90 days without a visa.

Notes 

Price excludes flights, insurance, any vaccinations or DBS if required and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Individuals applying must be 18 or over.

As part of our safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate which may cost an additional £15.
