Ministry Details

The training uses OM France's vision of the three dimensions of the least reached in Europe as a base: ethnic, geographical and generational.

Ethnic awareness: reaching out to people living in France and Europe who come from regions of the world with the least access to the Gospel.

Geographic outreach: deliberately targeting the growth of the Church in those parts of France where it is least present.

Generational awareness: today, few young people have any notion of absolute truth. Together, you will develop an effective way of making biblical truth known. And you'll put it into practice!

Our aim is to equip you for Bible study, provide you with practical tools for evangelism and give you the opportunity to put your newly acquired skills into practice in the field. You'll discover the life of an international team - with its joys and struggles.

Participant Profile

Participants will be those that are ready and open to learn, adaptable to living and working in an international team, and wanting to explore the faith more deeply, discovering God’s calling on their lives. Participants must be able to speak English or French as these are the languages in which the training will be simultaneously conducted.

Accommodation

Participants will be housed in the separate male and female dorms located at the OM France base (this accommodation is included in the price; any extra accommodation needs such as for couples or older participants not wanting to live in the dorms will be calculated as an extra cost and will depend on what is available).  

Food

Participants will cook for themselves in the kitchen facilities at the OM France base. Participants will receive a food allowance of 300 EUR each per month and will need to buy their own meals with this allowance. The cost of this is not included in the price above.

Travel

Participants will need to organise and fund their own travel to and from the base location at the beginning and end of the training. All travel related to the training is included in the estimated costs.

Health

Participants should be generally fit, not requiring intensive medical care. 

Visa

British citizens can travel to countries in the Schengen area, which France is part of, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa.

Notes 

Applicants must be 18 or over.

Price is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

We highly recommend you join OM in the UK’s Getting into Gear weekend (GiG) which you can attend either 26-28 April 2024 or a weekend in October (dates tbc). This is a weekend of training and orientation which will be conducted in Shropshire and will cost an additional £75.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £15.
