Where some look at the needs and pain in the world with despair or disinterest, OM sees tremendous opportunity and privilege to serve the poor, marginalised and forgotten.

We are committed to being in the global forefront of relief and development. This could be responding to a disaster that literally saves lives, the patient but difficult rebuilding of devastated communities or creating dignity in people through skills training and small business ventures.

All we do in the ministry of relief and development is for God's glory. Working with OM, you could help a young woman leave a trafficked life, a disabled child integrate into society or whole villages climb out of grinding poverty. It's tough work, but the rewards are great.

You will be as transformed as those you're serving, and your first discovery will be how deep the needs of the world are. But your second discovery will be how mighty God is in the midst of them, as His compassion is demonstrated through people like you.

Ministry Opportunities

An example of an opportunity we have had in the past is for a Community Transformation Project Developer in Ukraine. This role involved becoming a catalyst of change and hope in the community by establishing integrated concepts, turning organic and other waste streams into sustainable and profitable enterprises.

Another past example is joining the team in Turkey to come alongside refugees who flooded into the country. They distributed food regularly, shared God’s love and built relationships with refugees and locals alike.

Raising Support

Most people joining OM raise financial support towards the cost of their salaries/expenses. This is usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters. Training and support in this will be provided.
