OM has many opportunities around the world for Christians to use their skills on the mission field, thus seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers established among the least reached.

Ministry Opportunities

Past opportunities have included the need for administrators, business developers, humanitarian aid, rural community workers, medical professionals, managers, IT technicians, teachers, accountants and bookkeepers, technical consultants, bus drivers, a vet, a farmer, sports coaches, operations manager, maintenance, cooks, journalists, plumbers, counsellors, fundraisers, media communications, personnel managers…and the list goes on!

Participation in local ministry and team life will also likely be aspects of your role.

Requirements

The requirements will vary depending on the team and the role but could include:

• Qualification in your area of expertise (not always necessary)
• Be able to work well in a team
• An ability to make friends and a desire to share your faith
• A willingness to learn the local language
• A respect for and willingness to learn about other cultures
• Good communication skills in English

Raising Support

Most people joining OM raise financial support towards the cost of their salaries/expenses. This is usually through gifts from home churches and other supporters. Training and support in this will be provided.
